Approximate size of the daily data log files can be calculated from the following:

LB2 Data Log File

• 50K for header and time stamps
• 120K for each particle counter or environmental module (8 points)

For 100 points the data file would be 50K + ( (120K/8) * 100). Approximately 1.5 – 2 MB. These figures are based on a 30 second logging interval.

For 250GB drive = 128,000 days = 350 years!

Alarm Logs

• Vary according to the number of transitions occurring per day.  Each transition occupies 172 bytes per record.

Audit Logs

• Audit log files will vary according to the entries occurring per day.  Each entry occupies 240 bytes per record.
